Pastor Charles D. Brooks is founder of the Breath of Life television ministry.  He was the original speaker from 1975 to 1998.  Although he is officially retired, he is still a widely sought after speaker of truth and continues to preach the gospel as he travels around the globe.  His sermons are legendary and continue to be widely distributedon DVDs and CDs.Many of these sermons can be found at www.christianlifemediacenter.com/cdbrooks.html. Pastor Brooks has over 55 years of active ministry as an evangelist, administrator, and minister of the Gospel.  He and his wife currently reside in Maryland where he serves as Speaker Emeritus of the Birth of Life Television Ministry.

Elder Joe Wooten and his wife, Karen are members of the Decatur Seventh Day Adventist Church in Decatur, Georgia. After an in-depth study of the bible, including the books of Daniel and Revelation which began over 20 years ago, they have come to a greater understanding of the spiritual warfarethat is going on today between the God of Heaven and the prince of this World who is sadly diverting the minds of God’s people away from the truths of the Bible.  They continue to study the word of God but yearn to share what they have learned with others who seek truth and righteousness.  As they have listened on the radio for the straight testimony of God’s wordconcerning what God expects of his people, they found a famine- thus the birth of the ministry, A Famine in the Land.  Their desire is that the sermons by Pastor CD Brooks will prepare a people to be able to stand in the presence of a holy God, whose coming is soon, even at the door!
