Join the Seven Arts Radio for an uplifting, inspirational and motivating radio program that covers the world of seven arts –visual arts, literary arts, performing arts, multimedia arts, healing arts, martial arts, and culinary arts – and community concerns.
The aim of the program is three-fold:
1. To provide a venue for the outstanding talents within our community to express
2. To unite the various genres of music and art locally and worldwide.
3. To embrace and celebrate the wonderful diversity in our city as well as nation.
Makeba Waddy, Seven Arts Center founder, host of Seven Arts Radio, and Chicago native, is an artist, educator, entrepreneur and innovator. She established the Seven Arts Center in 2009 to help others-children and adults- find their right brain inner artist. Makeba is also the creator of animated characters and music to help children build their self-esteem and learn through the use of music. She obtained her BFA in Animation from American Intercontinental University, Master in Informational Systems from University of Phoenix and Nutrition Fitness Diploma from Penn. Makeba continues to explore her Seven Arts through playing music with the BCN band, performing with her dance ministry as well as producing for the Seven Arts Radio. Email: info@sevenartscenter.com
Iman Folayan, co-host of Seven Arts Radio, is a native Houstonian but considers herself a world citizen. As a graduate from Emory University she hopes to use her majors, Spanish and sociology, to bring about some change within society. Her interests are vast but her passion is writing. Eventually her studies and interests will mesh into a career aimed at empowering the black community through entertainment, education, and business. Iman continues to perform with the Children of Nebula, write music, and build the Power Mixer and co-host the Seven Arts Radio as she builds her career.Email: cafe@sevenartscenter.com
Carlos “LotaKiss” Baker, co-host of Seven Arts Radio, is a native of Georgia. He is an engineer and writer. He is currently a ghostwriter for several local artists. In addition to his literary writing, Carlos plans to publish his book in the next year. Email: cafe@sevenartscenter.com
